To El Burgo De Ranero from Sahagun

Got a late start today. 9:45am desayuno (breakfast for you gringos ). Toured the town for an hour then hit the road. Angie did well on this 11 mile walk. Tomorrow we will start early and do 12 miles. We are 2 days away from Leon. We will take 1 much needed rest day there

Here are some photos of today’s journey.

Here I am in front of yet another statue of a Peregrine. This one was in front of an albergue in Sahagun.

The photos are great. It looks like a town that has a lot of charm. I am so proud of both of you, Willie and I want to emulate the two of you one day in the near future. We are learning so much through your experiences. You have so many friends that love you and are pulling and praying for a successful and health Journey. You both look great. Angie your eyes are twinkling with excitement. The friends that you have collected through your journey of life and that are blogging seem like they are friends for life. Please except our Love, Thoughts and Prayers.

Great scenes, great friends, the weather looks pretty good. You two
never did mention the food. I would be curious – local Spanish dishes,
I would suppose. You guys will be so very fit when you return to California.

You have missed very little since leaving: the roses are all in full bloom,
and rather look much better than in years past; the strawberries from
    Camarillo are pretty good (picked up a box for the party this weekend);
rain seemed to put out what was left of the Springs Fire; all will
surely be waiting for you when you return home.

Be well, feel good as you are making a monumental journey. Kay

    • Hey Kay!

Thanks for the update on the local news. See the post regarding the food. I will post photos of the various plates. How is Michael doing ?…How did the AMI BBQ go?
      Inquiring minds want to know!

I so love that you guys are doing this and that you figured out the backpack was giving Angie trouble.
I pray it is in God’s plan for me to be able to do a journey like this with a loved one someday.

    God bless you guys!!

  4. Hi Mike and Ang, I just came from your mom’s and did not have my iPad with me, darn! We could have read your post together. I am sure she will read it tomorrow, unless she goes to the computer tonight. We ate dinner together and I met her neighbor that lives to the right of her. She stopped over looking for a compass for her son to do his homework… having a compass for homework is not in your mom’s kitchen : ) She is so proud of you and Angie and so are we! Loved, loved, loved the photos! Take care!

Okay, I want to know what was written on the plaque by the “footprints”. BTW, you two impress me to no end. Angie, especially you! Not even any THREE star hotels. OMG, I can’t EVEN! πŸ˜‰ You two are tough stuff…

    • Hi Sabrina,
The plaque says: Sahagun – Center of the Camino
This is a true statement as the Camino is 490 miles long and Damaging is approximately at the 245 mark.
Much Love & say hello to Tony,
      Mike
